'singin' in the rain'
'cause i was today, lol... damn, so many things to say and so little time to say them in 'cause i'm at work and freezin my ass off. today was 'fun day' where we all leave campus and go play. we went to the zoo. for those of you not in colorado, it is amazingly raining all day and in the 40's. fucking hilarious. i love it. such a great job i have... i can't leave this place... not yet...
father's day was so good! spent the whole day lounging on the couch with mom and stepdad... they got together when i was, oh, 13 or so... so the way i see it he's done (hell, and still doing) all the hard stuff, lol. awesome guy. love him dearly.
gettin a little nervous off and on about my upcoming trip. excited all the time, lol, but occasionally nervous, too.
okay, that'll have to do for now, too much to do here at work (i'm out of the office for a conference rest of the week, so internet access is sporadic, at best
). sorry i've been so bad the last week or so at responding, but there's another week to come. sorry, kids. 
upcoming events: (though i just realized i'm one broke ass bitch, so tickets that haven't already been bought may not be.)
21 June, Monday: reno divorce at the blue mule. i love these boys. very heavily social d influence, and just such damn good people they're hard not to like, honestly. -- somebody come with me! :hopeful:
23 June, Wednesday: a big ol' event at the aztlan, including the calefaction (elijah, i'm surprised you haven't been flooding the boards with stuff about it!). dunno if i'm goin yet, but wanted to get the word out.
26 and 27 June, Saturday and Sunday: annual fly-in, this time at the Watkins air field just east of town. lots of awesome classic planes, and a few classic cars, too. neat stuff, really. one of my favorite parts of the summer.
29 June, Tuesday: skinny puppy at the ogden, you freaks. i've got my ticket, and i'll be there. anybody wanna chaperone?
2 July, Friday: legendary pink dots at the bluebird. got my ticket for that, too. i've been thinkin, though, that it may not be the best idea, so if anyone else was thinkin of going and wants to buy my ticket, lemme know, please. you'd be saving me from myself, odds are. also that night, the reno divorce boys are playing the cheers tavern. if they're still goin after the dots or if someone takes that ticket off my hands, that's where i'll be found, drowning the sorrows of edward ka-spel in cheap bourbon.
10 July, Saturday: the railbenders are doin a set or two at the blue mule, which should be much fun.
15 July, Thursday: i fly out to see ironbhr. can you tell i'm trying to keep busy until then?
