so, no skating with slimjim and other sgco folks tonight, but that's okay. a lovely conversation
with my love, a re-viewing of chasing amy - and i was ready to go see harry potter - finally!!
was in a funky-ass mood getting ready to go (all the more reason to). yeah yeah yeah, i know, this makes at least three funky moods this week - but they're really all the same... i'll get over it.
the movie was awesome... bigger, in a lot of ways, than the others have been. and no, i've not read the books, so i'm judging the movies exclusively on their own merits, such as they are. sure wouldn't have minded seeing more emma thompson and gary oldman, but... so be it. btw - when did harry get cute?
power went out for a little bit during the movie - but it wasn't during a scary part and it only lasted about 10 mins, so... i didn't miss much, lol. sorry i didn't message you back, honey, but it was after midnight here when i got your messages leaving the theatre - didn't figure you'd wanna be woken up for my chit chat.
now i'm home - my ex is having some sort of drunken existential crisis, so i'm sitting here on the phone listening to him sing along to death cab, i think... could be good blackmail material if only i could figure out how to record it. can't wait to hear the voicemails i missed tomorrow.
okay, seems he'll live. me, i'm finally all showered and warm - curling up in this white oxford that got left here by someone and my felix the cat socks.

19 June, Saturday: brethren fast at club corner. this isn't a venue i know - anyone else know anything about it? i'll prob try and catch the boys there, though, unless someone tells me it's scary.
20 June, Sunday: okay, i can't help it. there's a part of me that really wants to go see velvet revolver, but not quite enough to pay for it. don't suppose anybody else has extra tickets floating around? :hopeful:
21 June, Monday: reno divorce at the blue mule. i love these boys. very heavily social d influence, and just such damn good people they're hard not to like, honestly.
23 June, Wednesday: a big ol' event at the aztlan, including the calefaction (elijah, i'm surprised you haven't been flooding the boards with stuff about it!). dunno if i'm goin yet, but wanted to get the word out.
26 and 27 June, Saturday and Sunday: annual fly-in, this time at the Watkins air field just east of town. lots of awesome classic planes, and a few classic cars, too. neat stuff, really. one of my favorite parts of the summer.
29 June, Tuesday: skinny puppy at the ogden, you freaks. i've got my ticket, and i'll be there. anybody wanna chaperone?
2 July, Friday: legendary pink dots at the bluebird. got my ticket for that, too. also, the reno divorce boys are playing the cheers tavern. if they're still goin after the dots, that's where i'll be found, drowning the sorrows of edward ka-spel in cheap bourbon.
10 July, Saturday: the railbenders are doin a set or two at the blue mule, which should be much fun.
15 July, Thursday: i fly out to see ironbhr. can you tell i'm trying to keep busy until then?
