caught Kill Bill Vol. 2 with Elijah and a friend of his last night. much fun, actually. good movie - it had been so long since i'd caught a tarantino, i'd forgotten how funny he is. and even not having seen vol. 1 yet, i was able to figure out what was going on pretty quickly, lol. and Elijah's a real sweetie, too. it's always so fun to meet people in person!

i'm apparently still rather unaccustomed to this body of mine. for those that don't know, a couple of years ago, i shed about 30 pounds, only to find out i had a health condition that made me look 3 mos pregnant anyway. well, got that all straightened out in december, and then lost a few more pounds - so the body i now bring into warm weather is not the one i remember. threw on my comfy blue football shorts and grey tank to walk the dogs this morning... and got whistled at! and one guy drove around the block to come back and talk to me... and another stopped me in his yard to chat for 10 mins. any one of these, i might have attributed to the fact that the dogs are really cute, especially together (a pug and a greyhound). but it eventually became clear that the dogs weren't the focus of attention... how fun!

that's it for now - i'm off to go listen to more afghan whigs and keep reading kushiel's dart (wow!).
