oh god, i'm that person. you know, the one that makes you cringe because you'll never be her?

it's the holiday season. i love it. for the record (what is this record i keep referring to, hmm? must be oingo boingo...), i'm not even christian, and gift giving isn't part of any religious thing for me. it's just fun.

well, we're clearly "poor as church mice" as a friend would say, so i'm making a lot of gifts this year. oh, don't get all excited, it's mostly stuff like cookie mix in a jar, cake mix in a coffee mug, that sort of thing. for coworkers and the inbetween people on the list. you know, people that you need to do more than a card for but you either don't know well enough or don't like well enough for an actual gift? yeah, those people.

i was digging through the decorations box that ironbhr pulled down from the garage attic, and what do you know? i already have christmas fabric tucked away and ready to go to decorate these thingamajigs. i already have a pattern for the jar tops and jingle bells to decorate them. i just had to buy new jars...

i'm NOT that person. don't think of the girl in school who always had the cool backpack she'd covered with puff paint and still managed to work it. that wasn't me. think of the girl with the uneven cutoffs with beadwork up one side but not down the other because i lost interest halfway through.

does having a baby change you that much?
