I had the most fantastical weekend I've had in a while!
Friday night started pretty crap, got on the bus only to have my ass grabbed by a creepy gangsta guy who kept looking over at me and Lauren the whole way into town..
But when we got in, we met up with Laurens brother Hamish and his friends Brian, Matt, Jenna, Simon, Liz and Chris and we went to a 'Goth' party above the Portugese Consulate which was really just a bunch of people dressed in black brooding and staring into nothing. So we left to talk about spanish ruffles and drink bourbon on the first level of the car park. Then the show! By crikey. This Night Creeps were amazing again, but the Mint Chicks. Good God. I was bruised and broken afterwards. Ended up spending the majority of the time sitting crosslegged on the stage inbetween speakers! It was thuper. My friend Irish Lauren filmed the whole shindig, can't wait to see the DVD!
On the way home at 3 in the morning, the clutch of Hamishs car burnt out leaving us stranded on the motorway playing Hooplah with an old hubcap til someone rescued us. Nobody was answering their phones! But I got my dad up. As you do when your car fucks out. That was actually fun in a weird, freezing my ass off way.
Saturday we went to see the same peeps in Palmerston North which is about 2 hours from where I live, and that show was even awesomernerrer. They played Orgasm Addict for me
Got gravel sliding and chatting away in the car park after the show.
The trip there and back was fun. Had lots of loud music and many energy drinks. I got home at about 4 and was wide awake so took photos of myself. As you do. Haha.
This weekend coming is full of gigs too, then the weekend after I'm heading to Auckland with Lauren and my friends band for the Mint Chicks again. I'm ridiculously excited, I havn't been to Aucks in 2 months. It's killing me.
Auckland is my baby.
Yeah, heres some photos of This Night Creeps n stuff. It stopped working for some reason after them, so I couldnt get any of the Mint Chicks. Bastard thing.
