last night I thought someone was breaking into my house. My "weapon" was in another room. I heard a noise like someone was trying to come in my window. My dog was barking..she looked at me (nervous), I looked at her (nervous) then I pushed her off the bed and yelled go sick em! I mean duh that is ONE of her jobs.

She ran out on the mission, I followed. We caught that sneaky CAT red handed. Thanks for the heart attack Sabrina!

I live in a city, break-ins happen but generally NOT on this block. This is more of a drive-by kind of area and you'd need some SERIOUS balls and weapons to break in on this block. ooo aaa

Ha! This reminds me of a time when, years ago, my wife and I were sleeping and awoke to a huge CRASHING sound in our bedroom, which also elicited a scream from my wife. Nothing quite as disconcerting as being awakened in such a fashion. In my disoriented, not-quite-awake-yet brain, I thought someone had broken our bedroom window and gained entry to the house.

As I became fully awake & alert, I found that I had instinctually pounced on my wife in a protective manner and was looking around wildly for the threat. I soon realized the source of the crashing. One of our cats had jumped up on a high shelf in the room, sending the shelf and all of its contents tumbling down all over the bedroom dresser and floor.

My wife, realizing I had been so quick to protect her, was very impressed. A story she loves to tell over and over through the years. She fancies me quite the hero now. biggrin I just hope I never have to fend off anything more than a curious cat!
