Well, normally I go through their profile and pictures (done) then their groups and comments (but I can't because we aren't friends), and then read a ton of old blogs and try to find them on myspace.

Well, don't expect it to be in the same league of KotOR 1 and you'll be fine. 
It's annoying, because it has the promise of being a good game, but you can tell they were stuck for time because parts of it are extremely lazy and certain parts of the story remain unresolved or unclear by the end.

I was thinking of it more like finding someone who had the things I don't have. A car, a license. Maybe some motivation as well. It's like a puzzle piece match to the things I need to get out, get traveling, get in a car and just go. But I know these things will happen with my own doing anyway. And I'm putting my mind to it. I needn't any rescuing; that's unhealthy. You save yourself and it's the most beautiful thing in the world. I'm working on that too. It reminds me of some Secret Stars song but I can't remember which one. Life is beautiful and ours are young. We can do anything we want.

I think you're right about there being a bit of 'the grass is greener', but in all truth my life is in a really bad state affairs for a 24 year old - I don't work through illness, I'm agraphobic and totally socially inept, I grow more and more spiteful towards people every day. I basically leave the house once a week when I have band practice and even that has been causing problems recently (big direction problems). Things need to change, but I'm not sure I'm capable of making those changes.
You're also right about gut feeling. I don't think my gut has ever let me down once, but unfortunately I've often gone against it, especially when others have been involved in the situation at hand, I'm way too passive. I should listen more.
By the way "Beauty is mainstream. I masturbate to abstract concepts." is beautiful and funny to me at the same time.
