don't worry 'bout it... the show out here was free and the sound was priceless. all summer long they have free shows at a place called stern grove which is where i had the privilege. it is a shaded park with a stage surrounded by trees. yesterday there was an algerian singer who declares he is the king of rai. he was called khaled. to open there was a local dj & doumbek player that threw down sounds alll over the place. all afternoon it was if there were hundreds of bellydancers finding their roots.

I actually am a professional bellydancer, Ive been dancing for 5 years now. I was originally a strict cabaret dancer, but now I have blended my style into a more tribal folkloric fusion. I take flamenco with Victorio at Fazils or Steps in NYC. He is probably 1 of the 2 best flamenco teachers in Manhattan.

I have been taking class with him for 2 years. He completely turned my technique around, he even did wonders for my bellydancing! I highly reccommend him. I have studied with anyone else, let alone a woman so I gues sit all depends on what you are comfortable with. Im just really comfortable and in tune to vic's style.
