I'm currently freaking out about taking the GRE. I decided to go ahead and apply for grad school for next year, but my previous GRE scores are expired. Now, at 31 years of age, I have to go back and take a standardized test will will show the universities that although I am quite the math genious, I have the vocabulary of a 14 year... Read More
My laptop is such a dinosaur. I don't even turn it on very often because my lack of patience makes me want to pull my hair out when I'm waiting for anything to load.
You can imagine my frustration on this site, which is glitchy even with the best computer money can buy.
So, I usually just look over Dmuff's shoulder when he looks... Read More
I'm up early but decided not to run today. I'm thinking about going to the UCLA Blood & Platelet Center and donating.
There was a bad accident in the LA area yesterday.
CHATSWORTH, Calif. (KABC) -- A Metrolink commuter train and a Union Pacific freight train collided in Chatsworth Friday afternoon, trapping passengers inside at least three Metrolink cars, one of which was burning. Seventeen... Read More
As a caveat to that: at least in Arizona, if you've gotten tattoed/pierced at a state-certified and licensed shop or artist, it doesn't need to be 12 months.
Disneyland 1/2 Marathon tomorrow.
I know it's kind-of gay, but I'm still excited. I've never run a half marathon before and the idea of running anything less than 26.2 miles seems like a piece of cake.
I took the day off from running today. I thought it would be nice to sleep past 5am for a change. Unfortunately, my kitty cat didn't get the memo and did his best to get me up. Now he's sleeping on the couch while I sip on some coffee and watch a documentary called "Punishment" on the History Channel.
I have so many things that I want to get done and can't seem to find the right combination of motivation and time to do them. Thank goodness for national holidays like today. I have no plans and no money. This is the perfect formula for being lazy and wasting time, but I am going to try my best to get things... Read More
This past weekend, Dmuff and I turned $200 into a refrigerator, a 5-piece dining set, 2 leather office chairs, and lunch. Our townhouse is really coming together.
Is it just me, or do the female American Gladiators give you that funny feeling in your lower regions?
Everything is still going ridiculously well in my life. Dmuff, Griffin, and I are in the middle of packing up our apartment. We are moving to a big, beautiful townhouse in the valley on Saturday. Then at the end of the month, we are heading to Maryland to visit Dmuff''s family. Also, work is still... Read More
Yesterday was such a great day. Dmuff took me to Disneyland! I hadn't been there in years. It was so much fun and so good to finally get to spend some time together. Damn our opposite work schedules!
Tomorrow morning I am planning on running my last long run before the LA marathon. I hope it goes well. March 2 is the big day.
