So, I'm not going to the SG1YA tomorrow. Dantes is going to be packed, smoked filled and deafening! I'm sure I'll miss out on meeting a few cool people; but that is so NOT my scene. Have fun, if you go! If I do anything, It'll be to go see New Bomb Turks at Satyricon. I know, that'll be SMOKY and DEAFENING; but at least I won't be trying to earnestly get to know someone through those distactions. I can just drink and nod, and be totally anti-social.

what about it is not your scene? i can sure understand about the smoke filled, though- yech. i'm so used to living in cali, where smoking in bars, restaurants and clubs is illegal (yeah, some places ignore the laws, but even at those places the smoking is [usually] less than it used to be), that it kind of shocks me when i go somewhere else and someone lights up in a bar!
