I painted a little something for my room today. A girl, crawling in blood, with a hole where her ribs are and writing the word "HELP" in her own blood.
Firstly, I have no ide what that says about my own psyche. Secondly, I dearly hope that the reaction I get from the numerous people who may appear in my room over the next few weeks is not as bad as I fully expect it to be.
Note to self. Hairspray and pastels works really well. Hairspray, pastels and PERMANENT MARKER DOES NOT WORK! Bled all over the canvas and I spent a good thirty minutes correcting that mistake. It's lucky I work in acrylics, I tell you.
I fully suspect that this is the first in a series of morbid pictures. It's pretty exciting, though, working out the ins and outs of painting someone who should be dead, but clearly isn't. Perhaps I should have gone into costume makeup instead.
