Holy shit.
How long has it been? 6 months? I'm sure the vast minority of you care, but here we go...
Not too long after the trip to Vancouver wherein which my friend, Lawrence, and I maanged to tackle our way thorugh the likes of MTV Canada, Bif Naked and some street Hustlers to watch the SG burlesque show at Mesa Luna, we decided to take a trip home.
Here starts the journey from my SG journal to "Fucked-up", Canada.
You see, we figured that we could easily make the trip from Vancouver to Edmonton in Sixteen hours flat. No sleep, no stopping for food, and definately no stopping for hitchhikers. Suprisingly, we forgot that we had no slept already for 30-odd hours and had subsequently not eaten for another 20 or so.
We slept: Lawrence drove off the road, and we slept in his fancy '91 Acclaim in a ditch (BC has wonderful ditches).
We ate: We had no money left, so we panhandled in Kelowna. KELOWNA.
We picked up a passenger: Passing through Kelowna, we decided to pick up a friend who moved there last year and take her to Edmonton with us. (She hesitated, sighed, and grabbed her wallet. She knew us well).
During this time, I still had school. Two papers were due, and I still had to figure out what my Prof. meant by "You need to study more" while prodding at my latest exam. How am I supposed to iknow? I never understand him.
Anyways, shortly after arriving in Edmonton the girl we picked up asked me what I was doing in my life. Like most Political science students, I shrugged and continued to play Ultimate Frisbee unabashed. Later that evening though, It hit me, what -was- I doing?
And so began my withdrawl from home and my search for something to do...
I mean, something to be. Yeah, that one.

I like your travel story sounds like the type of trips I have.
I also like your fantasy. I once had a Wizard with 18 strength, dexterity and intelligence. The DM watched me roll it up. He later made me re-roll because it was too good.
Being undead is pretty cool. I prefer being imortal though.
