my family is so bad at gift giving that we just stopped exchanging gifts. if theres anything we would even remotely want we all make enough money where we jsut buy it right away. and since my entire extended family hates each other theres nobody over except the 5 of us. so we sit around, tip toe around any kind of serious discussion and more or less try to avoid contact w/ each other till dinner. after that my mom has bought everybody some little thing from nordstroms just so we can go through the motions of opening gifts. which we usually give right back to her so she can go get her money back. im pretty sure if i went an got a bunch of stuffed animals and had a teaparty at home by myself i would have a more entertaining xmas.
