just got back from a little trip to new mexico. its a weird desert out there this time of year. you need sunblock to keep from burning but you also need a parka cause its like 50 degrees outside. somewhere along the line i got a sore throat, probably swallowed too much sand. but that aside NM was not the trip just the turn around point. this was all about cruising route 66. and as educational as it was i feel they have misrepresented it. most of the time route 66 is literally straddling another highway but the speed limit is 20 mph less. and anything you would want to see off of 66 theres an exit of the highways for it. got some good shots saw plenty of abandoned buildings so over all it was worth it.
