... and things start to slow down ... and make sense

3 non-bar-related jobs that i have been given this week:

1. monday
extra-ing in anthony minguela's new film with jude law, robin wright-penn, and other celeb names that i can't remember, like the guy from hitchhiker's and the orifice... 60 for the day, and they fed me. and i played an architect. all-in-all, tiring but would do it again.

2. tomorrow
a photoessay for the local community magazine that i wrote for a couple of months ago. a piece on 'cornershops from around the globe'... in a ten-block radius. i should get a decent little bit for that, but that all depends on how the shots look when they get back from the lab tomorrow morning, and on how much time i spend photoshopping the buggers.

3. in a couple of weeks
reviewing karen armstrong's new book, a short history of myth - which is right up my metaphorical street, thematically at least. and it's for the catholic herald, which puts a smile on my face (as well as some money in my account). furthermore, if i pull off a decent review, i've been informally offered a review a month: huzzah!

so... things aren't so bad, even though i am skint, paying rent on two flats this month (bye-bye holiday), and feeling a little, well frankly, in-between.

thank you to everyone who knobbled in their input (can you say: "knobbled in..."? well obviously you can, because i did, though i think i made that one up. sounds good enough, however...).

there are a few things to which i am trying to find a solution, in my head, and you all helped.

one should never push at solutions; they are like bubbles. if you push too hard on one side, they just expand on another...

biding one's time is a tricky thing sometimes. impatience lingers on the edge of perception, and there is a tendency to hurry conclusions. when you wait with traps, bluffs or feints, it can be hard to hold off for those last, tentative moments before it is actually the correct time. and then there is the problem of knowing precisely when is the right time to strike.

q.
which is more preferable, do you think:
asking or waiting for people to tell you themselves?

q.
what are you reading at the moment?

q.
is "www.themanyfacesofaddie.com" completely ridiculous?

my blessings upon you all. x

How was Wales?
London, i spent most of my day in camden and most of that section in Ice Wharf.. as you do. The club in which the gig was set (100club) is delightful.. I recommend should you like jazz or even any bands upcoming at the venue, to take a trip. I am returning to london, I suspect in 3/4 weeks. Maybe then?

Hope you are well darling.
