Just worked it so I could work two more days on the ship... doing two people a favor... one who basically controls whether or not I get my classes to become a Captain. In return, I've helped a shipmate, and parlayed two of my days off into a 30k a year pay raise and getting paid to go to all the schools I need to to get that Captain's license.
It can be disgusting when I put my mind to abusing the system from the inside.
Also I got the go ahead from a company bigwig I respect incredibly to write up a "Fair Sailor Treatment" proposal and submit it to the head of Human Resources.
And I'll still get to spend the weekend with Vic. Sadly we don't get the quality time Thursday to reconnect.
