It turns out Jesus and Mohammed Tree Service has a bit if notoriaty about these parts. Not long ago they refused a job to cut down a large live oak that they thought should stay. I like that.
Yesterday was great. Thunder rolled all day. . . and the sun stayed out. It rained eventually, but before the deluge the juxtaposition of storm and sun was a sublime experience. Summer is coming. Summer storms bring out the spiritual violence in me. Time to paint. I use to house sit for a guy from Maine. He would go to Maine in the summers partly because he could not stand the summer storms down here.
I am not Southern by birth, but I like my adopted region, as does my British friend, Greg. He joked once that he was British by birth, but Southern by the grace of God.
