I've been elusive for a while, and may for a bit longer. I am going through a sort of creative metamorphosis. I took last week off and disappeared off the radar, house sitting in the middle of nowhere. It was nice. I got lots done, but not enough! So now I am trying to stay focused in my creative endeavors. There is new hope in...

I think I may have gotten rid of the girl who sticks me with double shifts. My shift ends at midnight, and she has for the past year been the bane of my existance, showing up an hour late, two hours late, or not even showing at all. She does not keep a phone number, or at least she will not provide one, so when...

Hello dear drunken sailor. (What shall we do?)
That photo is unfortunately not one of mine. It's a still from The Singing Detective - the original BBC TV serial. Kate McKenzie is Red Sonia, an under-cover (and double-crossing?) Russian spy. There is something about her that is so beautiful. She is a very mysterious character, she barely talks and does most of her acting with facial expression. She also spends a portion of her time on screen in lingerie.
(Or a fur coat with nothing but lingerie on underneath.)
What do you do for work? Are you a night-watchman? That's what I imagine, or perhaps you mentioned that once...? I like the idea of you listening to the radio and drinking whiskey... but then I guess that's not allowed and perhaps may be a touch lonely...

I even thought about making fliers with his piacture on it saying lots of mean stuff about him. It wouldn't be libel or slander since it would all be true. But that would cost money and he really isn't worth it. I laughed at the whole presidential thing. That's a good one.
I don't like Ronald McDonald. He looks to much like that creepy clown in It. I think that is why I stopped eating chicken mcnuggets. That and the fact that pre-formed chicken is never normal.

I have finally finished the written portion of my book documenting my stay in Italy. I have only to revise some parts of it before I place it around the pictoral part of the book.

I use to have dreams of being back in high school and forgetting my locker combination. Then I started to wonder why I was there considering that I had graduated. Yes, causes much anxiety.
Hey - there is always hope. I know that sounds kinda hokey but about a month ago - all kinds of shit was falling apart. My world, my life, my relationships, everything. Then all it took was one thing to make things seem better.
I would love to visit Italy. I probably won't get to go until I am older but hey it's a goal. I am sure things will start looking up. I am not normally an optimistic person but when you are happy you want others to share. So here comes the wind of luck ----------> swish---------> If I could send you some clouds I would.
I wish they had a platypus icon. I love the platypus.

My neighbour upstairs has a very sweet Spaniel named Hope. It is a boy. I think that's a fine name for a dog.
What happens when you finish your book? Do you have plans for publishing?
Forget about any of this career schmareer business. Careers are for people with no imagination. Ok, that's not entirely true, but I really don't think you need to have all this achievement stuff. It's more important to be happy with who you are. And I'm getting on pretty Ok without one, it doesn't seem to be impairing my happiness.

Those are amazing. I particularly like the sky picture and the vine picture. I know it is not necessarily having the highest tech stuff but rather it is the way you see things. You can see things that others may just pass by. Those really are good. Hey if you can do that with a disposable imagine what you can do with a digital camera.
marieceleste:
I think they're beautiful.
Allright, I'm stumped. Does anyone know how to affix photographs to a journal?

Okeydoke, here's how:
1. Upload the pic in question to your pics album. (If it is wider than 533 pixels it will be cropped on the right-hand side. It needs to be smaller than 100kb.)
2. Once the pic is uploaded to the album, click on the pic, it will open in a new window. When it opens, right-click on the pic, go to 'Properties' in the drop-down list. (I'm assuming you are on a PC, not a Mac. If you're on a Mac this won't work, you'll have to ask a Mac user.)
3. In Properties, copy the address of the pic, it will be something like this: http://suicidegirls.com/media/members/9/75/161759.jpg?1104898979
4. Go to your journal, start a new entry. At the bottom of the journal entry is a list of stuff you can insert (ooo err), one of them is Image, click on that.
5. A little dialogue box will come up, asking for the address of the pic, paste the address in here. Click on OK.
6. Et viola, c'est ca!
Now... pics please!!
And thank you for your lovely praise yesterday.
xx

I really appreciate that. I found out how to get them to my journal but not my pics folder and I had my boyfriend tell me what I was doing wrong.
I do not see myself as a photographer. My primary medium is painting. But I do have an eye for color and composition. These photos were taken with a disposable camera. Check out my website: sailordrunk if you want to see more of my work.
The site is still under construction, but I got about 150 paintings up (a drop in the bucket compared to...

Your paintings are beautiful.
Cool is what name brand accessories you wear.
Cool is how you flaunt your wealth.
Cool is what bands you like.
Cool is never being percieved as being smarter than your friends.
Cool is wearing outlandish club clothing to make yourself seem more interesting than you really are.
Cool is having a heap of adulating fans who know nothing about you.
Cool is always being...

Has anyone noticed that Count Chocula now has only one fang? Discoving this has actually made me a little sad. Count Chocula had two when I was a kid. Poor Count. Can we expect Dracula dentures, or an assisted living Dracula in the near future?

Funny how I can let the big things slide while small things can sometimes make my blood boil. I had to give someone directions over the phone today for a district attorney conference. Dense as a rock. You can't miss the building I'm in; there is a big statue of Athena out front. She asked me who Athena was. What I said and what I...

Now that lady has made herself a prime candidate for the Tittymail. You could probably make it the triple-hit tit/ass/cunt for her, she's never gonna notice.
And don't ya know it's the master plan, to keep all us smart kids down, and pay the monkeys loads of money whilst giving them ridiculous power that they have no idea of what to do with. Surely you can think of the one man that proves this rule.
Humility, a grand thing.

Insomnia is synonymous with high levels of creativity in my experience. I have been staying up late after work (and bear in mind I work until midnight) working on various projects, namely finishing my book. I was looking pretty rough. Getting up in the afternoon to go to work has been a chore.
This past Sunday I arrived at work in a half awake daze...

I'm getting close to finishing my book on my trip to Italy.
It will be great to have this long neglected project finished at last.
I'm focusing on Pompeii at the moment.
A very sobering place.
Right now I'm listening to somafm.com . . . secret agent.
The music is reminding me of Rome. . .
I've got the travel itch in me again. Restless,...

Answer to your q: I am both.

Yeah - when you get rid of old things from the past you can build a new future. It is going to be interesting to see what the future holds.
For me as well as you. Enjoy your time and I hope all goes well. When you get time keep me updated on you.
