Stupid government bureaucracy.
So I'm a Merchant Mariner, which means I regularly have to do things with the coast guard to get/keep/upgrade my license. I've taken the classes, I've passed the tests, I've done my work on the water, and I paid them for my upgrade. However, I paid it online, on the website set up for doing that. That website has my info, my ss number, my merchant mariner number, all the info... but they were apparently unable to send that information to the coast guard to tell them that I paid, so now I have to wait for the letter to come from the coast guard telling me that they need the confirmation from the government that I paid before they can process my paperwork.
We have the ability to communicate instantly around the world. Hell, on this site I can talk to people from everywhere, including but not limited to video chat. You would think that a basic reference email from one government agency to another wouldn't be that hard.

And yeah, that's how he cures himself of this kind of stuff, he drinks alcohol. (Killian's, Guinness, etc) I tend to bulk up my immune system, and both ways work. Although his works better, because he's almost never sick. LOL.
