Ha! I'm sure that must be the case. I went to a few schools during high school, graduated early, and didn't date much so I don't remember many people, but the few I ran into when I went back did not hold up well either. One of my favorite smart guys ended up never going on to college and working late night at a convenience store. No judgments about that, a person has to do what they need to to make ends meet. It was more that I knew him when he had big dreams and he totally had the talent to achieve them. On break from grad school and on my way to a party, I dashed into the store to get gas and some beverages and there he was. As he served me he didn't look me in the eye, as if maybe I wouldn't recognize him or as if I thought badly of him, when really I was happy to see him...until that strange reaction. He looked old beyond his years. It made me sad.

I live on the higher side of town, so I won't be effected as it isn't going to get that high. I think yesterday might have been the highest it was going to get here, and it had flooded up to the flood protection that was built years ago so I think just that farm land will be flooded for now, which in a way is good for it.
