Carved my pumpkin tonight! I always try and carve something that represents the year and my hopes to come. Halloween or Samhain is the celtic/wiccan new year so I try to portray my dreams for the coming days on my pumpkin. I carved a hand reaching up surrounded by stars, sort of reaching for the stars. I was actually thinking of a phrase I learned from a friend of mine on here. "ad astra per aspera" (latin) which means through difficulty to the stars. I am hoping that is how things will end up. That i can escape all this bad shit that's been happening and have a happy life once again.
