so i went to this meeting today for my new job. I get there and there is a whooole lot of people there and more kept walking in. I would say there was probably like 40 people there. Granted some were hostesses, bussers, bartenders ect. but a lot were servers. So I guess they hired a bunch and they are going to weed a lot of people out. So they have no training manual or any kind of human resource framework at all set up. They said if you don't show up and no one covers your shift you are fired. There is no uniform they told us just to wear plain polo shirts and khaki pants. I guess they are training us for 3 days next week and then 3 days the week after that. There was no mention of whether we are getting paid for training, They did not have menus to give us yet they said they will have them next week. The whole thing seems like they are flying by the seat of their pants.....sigh. However....... I have an interview on the 7th with Quail Hollow a hotel/resort by me. They called me this morning I would give my left tit to work there. So if that pans out I am going to give up this whole restaurant bullshit. Right now I have to think up a scheme to make money until then. The only money I have coming in is my child support money I get 100.00 dollars a week for that...Yard sale maybe...I dunno.
