Ok all of you all knowing tech boys I need some help. It's not a Wii question again sorry! Ok, I've been thinking really hard about getting a desk top to use more regularly because my laptop is going on 2-3 years now and it's getting slow and it's my main computer...I want a desktop to be my main computer to keep all of my important things. I bought an external hard drive in case my laptop dies on me...but the point of my babbling is which is the wisest choice...HP or Dell? Or does it not matter since all I need it for is internet, messaging, music, pictures and school work stuff? I've had both as laptops so far and I can't really say that I liked one over the other.

My other dilemma is that I'm not sure what to select when building one. I don't play games on my computer so I don't need all that stuff. Teach me please! kiss

And I've been reading a lot more lately but one thing has caused me to really dig deep inside me and find some answers and while I was in the shower tonight I realized something...I'm not afraid of challenges or of failing...I'm afraid of succeeding...for some things...

Like when I try to lose weight...I reccently was doing so good and I was down to a size 8...but then I noticed more guys were checking me out and I totally wanted to be noticed...I wanted to feel and look better and I was...but then I was getting what I wanted and it scared me and now I'm up to a size 10/12 and I feel like I did when I was a bit heavier...

I don't understand it. Why do I completely succeed in some areas of my life and sabotoge myself in other areas? I have no idea what to do with this revelation...but I do know that I need to conquer this fear of succeeding thing...bah, I bet a I would a phychologists dream patient!

Dell is evil. Really really evil. They used to have the best customer service ever. But now they're dead last. My sister bought one and it was a royal pain to get any help out of them.

But ,as far as what to put in one, unless you're processing a lot of video just get a basic package with as much ram as you can afford. Chip speed isn't that important for basic use anymore but if you don't have enough ram it can't handle all the video and pictures. (I think.wink)
p.s. I'm regretting putting money down on that 100$ beedle the bard book. I still have time to cancel it. Uh what to do... what to do?
