Wow, maturity is not a strong point with most people on this site it seems. because I stand up for what I believe in, and become hostile to personal attacks, I'm in the wrong. I was recently banned from the cats group, because I was considering declawing my cat, as previously stated in my blogs.
I became aggressive because no one was listening to what I was trying to get across--they just decided to personally attack, and give me no other solutions. I've thought of a new behavioral technique to use next time, because, contrary to what they all seem to think, I would love an alternative, and since I won't have the money even within the next year, I have a lot of time to try other things, I'm just running out of things.
Also, apparently, the message Cairo said was suppose to be mature, and frankly, it was anything but. No one in that thread was mature; they twisted the things I said to make me wrong, and just insulted. I felt personally attacked, since well, my cat is like my child, and thusley, called her a bitch. As I stated on her page, The world is full of assholes, and being an SG does NOT exclude this. I'm sure not everyone on this site gets along, and I'm sure not every SG gets along. If this excludes me from becoming an SG, then so be it. It would be unfortunate, and would make all this time and effort seem like a waste, and I don't want it to end like that. However, I have been on this site since 2006, and this is the first aggressive action I've had towards someone on this site, and I really hope it doesn't have to happen again, because I like coming here. I don't like feeling attacked and un-welcomed because of my considerations, and strong feelings.

"Why did you even post here? It's clear from the rest of the thread that declawing is considered a fucked up thing to do in this group, you obviously don't want anyone's help or advice, and you refuse to try out other options that won't mutilate your cat.
All of the "reasons" you've presented for declawing your cat are just shitty excuses for your own selfishness. Your poor animal deserves better. "
my "poor animal" does not deserve better--he's taken better care of than most cats I know, because I don't just look at him as an animal.
As I attempted to state in the thread (which you can get to with my comments) I'd love another method that's not soft paws, or something I've already tried, and aside form the new behavioral thought I have, I've found nothing, and they've given me nothing.
I don't see where trying to state that I'm not an animal abuser just because I'm considering declawing my cat makes me immature. yes, I use "foul" language when I type, and most people take more offense to that than they should, and put more into it than they should.
I stand up for what I feel is right, and when someone wrongfully judges me or my intentions, I try to point out why/what they're misjudging. I don't believe in de-clawing, but unless I find another option, I don't know what else to do.
I also do understand cat nature, I'm not an imbecile, I've grown up with cats my entire life. Spooky is NOT like most cats. I'm also not going to repeat myself, as I've had to do so much in the past 2 days.

People on here are such hypocrites anyway. Well, actually, alot of people in the world are anyway. I mean, I love seeing Vegans who smoke. ORLY? So, you either a) think it's cruel to eat animals, but have no problem polluting the air they breathe, or b) think it's bad for your body to eat meat but think nicotene and all those carcinogens are okey dokey. I mean jesus people, get over yourselves. My cat is declawed on the front paws and I still love her. Some people take things a bit too far methinks.
