you know what i miss?
"Home"
when youre growing up and your family has a home. that feeling you get when you walk in the door. the fact that you can go there when youre hurt or sad or lonely and someone is there to eat with or even do laundry with. Somewhere to go for the holidays where the people who know you best live and you dont even have to ask for a drink or food you just go in the kitchen and the glasses and plates are where they always were. The same brand of penut butter and the same smells and everything.
when you dont have that place to go to you start to disconnect. you don't feel like you have ground under your feet or youre not tethered to anything. eventually you get kind of used to it but you still crave it. its like you'd give anything just to be warm and wanted and connected to your past. its really hard to not have that.
