The website I am designing for a client is coming along nicely and I must say, getting paid to do design work is pretty sweet. The freedom to work from the comfort of home is really a treat and it has spurred in me the desire to do it on a regular basis. Its been a dream of mine to cut off the shackles of...

My first paying design gig!

Got a little surprise yesterday. A friend who started her own all natural laundry detergent company needed a complete website redesign and asked me if I was interested. My response? Ummmmmm, hell yeah!! So I took down all the pertinent info and began it last night. I'm excited because the visuals and design is fun and I believe in the...

The "Project". Part 3

I've got about 70 to 75% of the site done as far as the layout and pages are concerned. After a few blunders as far as the coding goes, I came up with an easier and more time friendly way to go. I'm not doing any of the coding for the site anymore. I picked a site that allowed me a...

The "Project". Part 2

Ok, thought I would give an update. I am done with the design and layout of my site. It took a bit of time to get the structure and colour scheme but I like it so far. Nothing fancy so it won't be all Flash, blinking lights, bells and whistles.

A truly sad day as we have lost the King of Pop, Michael Jackson. I feel as if we have all lost a part of our childhood. I remember seeing Thriller the first night it aired and loving the dance sequences and the classic horror vibe to it. Set the benchmark for how videos should be made. Dancing Zombies...that was the coolest thing to see...

Finally got inspired to do a new design piece. I've called it "Love Will Tear Us Apart" and so far I am pleased with it. I'm hoping to finish it this week. This new Vancouver move (from Toronto) has given me motivation to actually do some new things.

If anyone has noticed (prob not), I changed my profile name from Snatchmaster to Sad Puppy. Not to hide from anyone or mislead but I used my nickname from a torrent site that I "snatch" stuff from. When looking at it on here it sounded smutty and rude. Sad puppy was something I've had for a few years now as well as the design logo...
