Okay, here by request are SacredLions five easy rules to chatting with one of the lovely women who have deigned to grace us with their presence online.
Rule One: Be Choosy. Do not just try to ingratiate yourself to every female name that shows up on the screen. Cold-calling does not work any better in meeting women than it does in finding a job.
Rule Two: Read Her Profile. Take the time to find out something about who she is and what she is looking for. Don't want to be bothered? If you cant convince a woman that she is one of the most interesting people youve met online today, what are the odds that she will want to have anything to do with you?
Rule Three: Listen. Okay, youve found someone who strikes your fancy. Lurk for a bit and listen to her. Let someone else ask all the stupid questions: where do you live, what do you do, etc. Later, when you actually speak to her, she will note that you were attentive to her answers. Women like men who know how to listen; they are rare.
Rule Four: Say Hello. Not When can we meet? Not do you like to ? Not What are you wearing? Just a simple hello. You will be utterly amazed at the mileage you can get from common courtesy.
Rule Five: And this is the fun part: FLATTER HER MERCILESSLY. Do not hold back. Take no prisoners. Remember this: all of us -- you, me, and the woman of your dreams included -- are here because there is some gap, something missing, in the rest of our lives. Find out what that void is, and fill it for her. Do not stop until she is begging you to tell you something about yourself. And guess what? All of a sudden you will be chatting with her.
