I was looking for good, or at least neutral, terms to refer to the female sexual organs.I'm aware that it's not easy in any language to find good words for sexual organs (masculine or feminine), but it's even worse when you're not a native speaker of a certain language (English, in this case).

The most common word (in slang) "pussy", while probably not too rude is really not the kind of word I like to use (at least in this case). Looking it up on a dictionary referred to me to the more technical word "vulva" (also used in Spanish, since it's a Latin word), which is: The external genital organs of the female, including the labia majora, labia minora, clitoris, and vestibule of the vagina. I don't like the word vulva, but the definition at least suggests something interesting: It's a door into something deeper. Labia majora-> The big doors. Labia minora-> the smaller door. The clitoris-> the bell. And the "vestibule of the vagina", is, well, the vestibule.

So after this door/vestibule, what comes next? The vagina, which is: "The passage leading from the opening of the vulva to the cervix of the uterus in female mammals". So it's a passage. The cervix is "the narrow outer end of the uterus", and the uterus itself is "A hollow muscular organ located in the pelvic cavity of female mammals in which the fertilized egg implants and develops. Also called womb."

Now, most of you know where babies come from, but the question of where they REALLY come from might be a bit different. As long as you don't live in what Ken Wilber called Flatland and you are aware that there's more to reality than what our poor scientific knowledge can attest, you probably think that there is actually a "soul" or conscience of some kind that inhabits the body. And this soul or conscience must come from somewhere: a place I will just call "the other world" (not a great definition, but practical right now).

Anyone who has cared to learn about the subject will probably know that when there is a conception of a new baby at some point in the early stages a soul chooses to inhabit that body to enter the physical world. During pregnancy, the soul is free to come in and out of that body at will. As pregnancy develops it will stay more and more time inside the body, but it's only some minutes before the birth giving process start when it definitely enters the body not to leave it again (until death).

Now the question is why can the soul enter and exit the fetus body while it's still inside the womb? Basically because the womb is the location of the other world inside our physical reality. While the baby is in there, it is protected from the energies of the physical world. It is only at the time of birth when the protecting layer breaks and the baby is exposed for the first time to these energies, which leave an important imprint that will influence his life (this is why the natal chart is so important in astrology).

The womb is therefor a very sacred and special place in our world, because it is where the "other world" is located. And the female sexual organs are the doors/passage to this other world. And that's why women have always been represented as Goddesses. Because they are, in a way.

So when you come across a picture like the following one, you might want to look at it in a different way (not safe for work!):

SPOILERS! (Click to view)

And what's the key that can open the doors? Obviously, the male sexual organs. And just like in the case of normal doors and keys, not every key can open every door. Even the right key for the right door needs to be used in the right way to be able to open that door. It almost never happens, but sometimes magic does happen and the door can be opened.

Making love in its deeper meaning is just this - an attempt to open the door to the other world and be blessed by the chance to experience, if only for a brief moment, the holiness of the universe, our real self, and our God(dess) within.

And now to another related story, this time a tragedy (which continuing with definitions reads as: A drama or literary work in which the main character is brought to ruin or suffers extreme sorrow, especially as a consequence of a tragic flaw, moral weakness, or inability to cope with unfavorable circumstances:

He had adored her for a long, long time. So long that he could only really remember being in love with her. His life before that point was just a distant, fading memory. However, his love had never been corresponded, or not in the same kind. He always knew that he would have a chance someday, at least to find out the truth one way or another (meaning, finding out if he was mistaken about his love, or it was her who was not seeing what looked obvious to him). And time passed, but the chance never came. Or it came once, but respectful as he was, he never really took it, thinking that the perfect moment would come. Until one day he had to finally admit that it would never come.

And lamenting the missed chance, he told her about it one day. What a pity they didn't take their one and only chance to find out the truth. "How?". Making love. It could have been the first time that someone actually attempted to really make love to her, who would have tried to open the door to the other world. Someone who really, really loved her.

"Oh no, I cannot try with everyone who wants. I'm not a rubber toy", she told him. Just as if he was a random pervert looking for some sexual satisfaction, wanting to shag her just to add another pussy to his collection.

Deep lack of understanding is the biggest tragedy a man can face.
