A cloudless sky and a full moon made for an interesting night last night. I drove around the backroads last night and Friday night, until around 3:30am........things were pretty quiet, except for all the nocturnal animals that were out scurrying around. It's always amazed me how they can navigate and function in such darkness...I'm a little envious of their night vision.

A little lighting....a little rumble....a little rain...in the night. It made for good sleeping weather. I'm not sure what it is about rain, that you can hear in the night, that makes sleeping so good.....perhaps it's the consistancy of the rain fall....like a ticking clock....that hypontises your brain into that deep peaceful sleep. Whatever it is, it seems to work!

Rain this morning....not much....pretty much a quick splash, but probably more on the way later today.
Mom's 82nd Birthday went off well. The phone rang off the hook for her, with calls and she must've gotten 25 - 30 cards in the mail. She tried to let on that it was no big deal, but I could tell that she pleased and felt good about...

That photo was absolutely beautiful. I have a thing for sunbursts. I will tell you the story sometime.
You are so sweet to your mom. Through your journals, I get to feel like I know her.
Thank you again for the photo.

If you need to "think" while sitting on the toilet, you may not be doing it right.

The last couple of days of last week and this weekend really wiped me out. Traveling to and from a funeral...the funeral itself...and the aftermath of it, all combined to sap a great deal of energy. There is quite a whole story behind the ordeal, but I don't feel like going into the whole thing here, right now. Let's just say that the whole of...

I love sleeping with the windows open. Unless a horrid skunk goes off in the middle of the night.

Took a day trip to the city yesterday....I needed a day away!
Got a haircut....I really needed it, since it had been 2 months since my last one. Snip, snip, snip and 10 minutes later, 2 months worth of hair growth was on the floor. The cowlick will be under control again for a few weeks...
I bought another CompactFlash card for my camera. I...

Another Monday...full of mystery and intrique!
Well...not really....
More rain last night, that has left this morning wet and damp, but that's OK. Mondays are always house days for me....meaning laundry, cleaning, doing the stuff I should have done on the weekend, but didn't because it was the weekend and you just shouldn't have to do that stuff on weekends, cause weekends are supposed to...

Inner asshole is right sometimes.
I'm glad you're happy.
I'm glad you're happy.
Each night, around 10 o'clock, I step out onto the front porch. It's a habit that I picked up from my Dad many, many years ago. Being that we made our living working outside and from agriculture, he would step out onto the front porch to see what the weather was like before he went to bed and maybe get an idea of what it...

i loved the full moon this past weekend. so inspiring.
i haven't had too many nocturnal animal experiences of late, but i have been inundated with bugs! at first it was just a wolf spider, but then he disappeared, so now i have a PLETHORA of ants, crickets, inchworms, moths, what i believed to be a baby june bug, and a few other little flying things.
wolf spider, how i miss thee. let me count the ways!
