Cool, damp and drizzley today.....a good day for something hot, warm and filling for lunch. I'm thinking maybe a Marie Calendar's chicken pot pie.....I don't really feel like cooking much, so just sllding it in the oven suits me just fine today.

I had strange dreams last night. The one I remember had me in Switzerland with my relatives who live there. I was trying...

Things have been a little rough the last few days....but seem to be getting back to normal now....at least I'm hopeful that they will.

Cool this morning....in the 50's. I woke up around 3am and had to shut the window closest to my bed....a slight breeze was coming in and it was just a little on the cool side...even for me! I've noticed a few...

It sounds perfect where you are. Today was 105 or something, and I had on jeans!
Of course you are the kind of person who I would want to send a letter to. Email me your address when you get a chance.

Best wishes to you. smile

I'm enjoying the first little hints of fall, but I know soon enough I'll be wishing for the summer again!

It's a Monday morning and I feel a fit of randomness coming....so here are a few random things that seem to be eminating from my brain this morning.

Greatest inventions...in no particular order.

Refrigerator ice makers.....Not having to refill the little cube trays is a godsend. I always seemed to spill them all over the floor and in the freezer. Combine the ice maker with...

That Don Rickles remark in Maxi's journal dates ya, man. How many of these young pups do ya think actually even know who Don Rickles is?
Its refreshing to see someone on here that isn't into industrial techno-babble or hyper punk(whatever the hell that is) - not that there's anything wrong with that. Its just that, I look at some of these young girls profiles and I've never heard of any of these bands. Well, just thought I'd put my 2 cents in. Peace, bro.

Holy Moly it really cooled off last night.....42 degrees on the old ther - mo - meter this morning! A dense fog hung in the air and the cement was cold on my feet as I went out to get the paper....fall is definitly here!

Got my quarterly haircut yesterday....had it cut short one more time, but will let it get a little longer over...

I'm going to be on the road today. Rain is in the air, so I'll be taking the truck instead of the bike.

On today's agenda:

Haircut
Seeing friends
Buying a gift for my Mom

Yesterday was a perfect day weather wise....open windows the last 2 nights....I slept like a baby....a very big baby. smile

we slept with the windows open too! at first i was not into this approaching fall deal. the california girl in me thinks summer should be going strong until mid-october. but now i'm kind of getting into it.

i've been wearing slacks this week, corresponding with the new chill in the air, and ck keeps remarking that the change in the seasons is exciting because he gets to see a whole new wardrobe. funny the things that you want to inscribe on a medal and wear around your neck.

I'm still here, sweetie. I'm just being unusually quiet for now. wink

They say to be happy in your work and life, that you should figure out what you love to do and then find a way to make a living from it. My Dad did just that and I can say that the result was exactly as predicted. Dad did what he loved to do and got great enjoyment and satisfaction from life.

I've thought about...

Friday has rolled around again....where the hell does the week go?

For as fast as it seemed to go by, this has been a pretty tame week. Mostly just the same old day to day stuff....not much to write home about. While something to spice up the daily grind might have been nice, at least nothing bad happened either.....thank goodness for that! When things get...

Well, it's time to get back to semi normal.....long weekends always seems to screw up my sense of the week....this is Tuesday right? I'll probably be screwed up about what day it is, all week long. smile

Nice weather today I think. I sat out on the porch with my coffee in the early morning hours....just as the birds were waking up. That's one of my...

Got your app to SG Motorcycles. Please post in MY journal a little bit about what you ride, where, how long you've been riding, etc. If you don't currently ride, say something about why you should be a member of SGMC anyway. Anything to let me know you're actually interested in SGMC will do. If you know a current SGMC member, have him/her leave me a note in my journal.

Thanks.

I could never quite get into Deadwood. I tried watching it a few times, but honestly, the language turned me off.

there are so many times, while we're watching that i just look over at ck and go "HBO! this is SO HBO!" everything has to be ten times more violent and twenty times more full of cursewords than really necessary. after the first episode, we almost gave up on the series completely... it was such a rip-off of true great westerns, and so pathetically trying to be distracting with its rudeness.

but somehow we got sucked in. sucked in i tell you!!!

you're getting rain today? we thought we were going to get some yesterday, but it didn't happen. enjoy!
