They say to be happy in your work and life, that you should figure out what you love to do and then find a way to make a living from it. My Dad did just that and I can say that the result was exactly as predicted. Dad did what he loved to do and got great enjoyment and satisfaction from life.

I've thought about the things I love to do.....the predicament comes from the "making a living" part.....mostly because of the way I do things. I think a great part of the satisfaction of the things I love to do, comes from the way I do them....meaning, that I love to do them in my own way, at my own pace and when I want to do them. Which, in a strictly business sense is not a good thing. Income is usually derived from a pretty formal and common business formula. I might have to figure out a way to "break the mold" on this one, if I plan to participate. It's going to take some thinking.

The weekend went well. I put in some mandatory time at the gun range and luckily, despite my slacking off a little on practicing this past year, the results were very acceptable. I could tell that I was a little rusty though and that I need to step back up to the plate and get back on track with practice. It is a good feeling to know that you can slack off a little and not just have it go all to hell though.

OK....today is laundry and house cleaning day....plus, I'm not sure what I'm fixing for lunch yet, so it's time to "get on the stick"
