Well, it's time to get back to semi normal.....long weekends always seems to screw up my sense of the week....this is Tuesday right? I'll probably be screwed up about what day it is, all week long. 
Nice weather today I think. I sat out on the porch with my coffee in the early morning hours....just as the birds were waking up. That's one of my favorite things to do when I wake up early. Coffee is particularly good, when the sun isn't quite up yet and the natural world is just waking up.
The rest of the day is up for grabs....well, not really....I do have some things to do, but I'm always open for something unexpected to come along and take me somewhere completely different than where I thought I was going today. It happens sometimes and more often than not, it turns into something OK.
I cooked alot over the weekend. A big Sunday dinner and then guests for grilled hamburgers last night. I wouldn't want to cook for a living, but I must admit that I really do enjoy doing it for myself and others. It's one of those things that a few years ago, I'd never have thought I'd enjoy so much, but it turns out that I do.

I could never quite get into Deadwood. I tried watching it a few times, but honestly, the language turned me off.
there are so many times, while we're watching that i just look over at ck and go "HBO! this is SO HBO!" everything has to be ten times more violent and twenty times more full of cursewords than really necessary. after the first episode, we almost gave up on the series completely... it was such a rip-off of true great westerns, and so pathetically trying to be distracting with its rudeness.
but somehow we got sucked in. sucked in i tell you!!!
