Finally, a day with little or no rain forecast and sunshine abounds!
I have these dark brown spots and patches on my arms and the backs of my hands! Actually, I know exactly where they came from and how I got them. The first day of my recent motorcycle trip was fairly warm and sunny for the first 3/4 of the ride, I was able to pull the long sleeved shirt that I was wearing, up above my elbows and the lower part of my arms got sun on them for about 6 hours. The backs of my hands are the part that really look funny. The riding gloves that I wear, are 1/2 gloves or fingerless gloves. They have a velcro closure on the back, much like a golf glove and then on open spot just above the velcro. The backs of the gloves are a mesh cotton. So, when the sun shines down and tans my hands, I get a white spot where the velcro is, a 2 inch dark oval spot where the opening is and little brown spots in a distinct pattern where the sun shines through the mesh of the glove. I thought that it would have faded by now, but it's just as dark and noticable as it was 2 weeks ago.....sure makes for some odd looking spots!

i always have really tan arms, and a white bum and white legs. i love wearing tank tops or sleeveless things, but (especially when i was living in San Francisco) i tend to keep the legs covered. this picture is a great example. look at my shoulder and then look at my bum.
now that the weather is warming up, i'm thinking of getting some shorts to run around in on the weekends, but still, what to do about the bum?! i simply cannot abide by a tanning booth.
i bet your polka dots are awesome.
so tell me, are their any upcoming rides on the horizon?
