OK....so I didn't get the sweetcorn patch planted yesterday. Perhaps this afternoon, if I can work things out right.
I ended up mowing the yard yesterday, instead of planting the sweetcorn. I have 4 acres of yard to mow and the one thing all this rain we've been having is doing, is making the grass grow! It takes me about 4 hours to mow the yard...over 100 trees to go around. The grass was getting long already, even though I'd just mowed it last week. It was so long last time, that I had to rake up alot of the long grass that was left on top after mowing. I didn't want to have to do that again, so decided that my time would be better spent mowing and keeping up with the growing grass, instead of planting.
Each day this week and into next week, is supposed to be in the mid to high 70's for temps. Perfect! Still lots to do and get done outside and the perfect weather to do it in!
