Rain this morning....not much....pretty much a quick splash, but probably more on the way later today.
Mom's 82nd Birthday went off well. The phone rang off the hook for her, with calls and she must've gotten 25 - 30 cards in the mail. She tried to let on that it was no big deal, but I could tell that she pleased and felt good about it. The past couple of years have been really hard on her. The Parkinson's disease and the severe osteoporosis have really taken their toll on her. Someone who used to do so much and never slowed down, now can barely move around the house on her own without pain and the fear of falling and broken bones. I do marvel at how she keeps her attitude and spirits as high as they are. I'm not sure I would be so gracious, if I were in her position. It really kills her that she can't be out planting and tending her flowers right now.....that was always one of her biggest delights in life. I have plans to enlarge and replant one of her flower gardens next month....she has already pointed out to me that she plans to sit outside and supervise.....she is an amazing lady.
Today is Wednesday..........lets all go jump in a puddle...

You are so sweet to your mom. Through your journals, I get to feel like I know her.
Thank you again for the photo.
