I'd like to say a few words about......pot pies.....specifically chicken pot pies........even more specifically, Marie Calendar's Chicken Pot Pies....
I love those things! You can find them in your grocers frozen food section.
After working in the yard all afternoon and a good portion of the evening, I'm a bit sore this morning. Muscles that haven't stretched or done much all winter, got a workout yesterday. It's a good kind of sore though....the kind that tells you that you got something done. It felt really good to be outside working.
Lots of signs of spring life popping up everywhere now....finally. The Honeysuckle that I planted last year, made it through the winter and is putting on buds for leaves....the Chanticleer pear tree that I planted last fall is doing well and has budded, with white blooms and leaves to follow in about a month. Robins followed me around the yard as I raked up sticks and branches yesterday....they would search the ground for bugs and grubs in the areas that I had raked....I don't think they had much luck finding anything, but they sure were persistant.
I slept with my windows open last night, for the first time this year....it was good to have the night air and the night sounds around me as I slept. I love to hear the hoot owls and the coyotes at night.....I slept really well, with the covers pulled up under my chin and snuggled down in my pillow all night.
April rain showers are forecast for later this morning and then the rest of the day.....which is OK, since we could really use a good, slow 2 inch soaking rain right now.
Today is Wednesday....Hump Day....let's all have a good Hump!
