I danced a little jig last night.
Well.....not really....but I felt like doing it. The ice maker in my fridge was not working. I took it out....fixed it....put it back in and had it dropping ice into the bucket within the hour. Silly to get so much satisfaction out of such a small thing, but sometimes you have to find satisfaction in life's little things.
The weather continues to be almost record breaking for this time of year. Today's forecast high is 61 freaking degrees! Sadly, by Sunday it's supposed to be back into the 20's with rain changing to snow....could be up to 8 inches of the white stuff by sometime Monday. I am SO looking forward to spring!
Ok....I have a gripe that I'm going to air out here in my journal. It's about grocery shopping and the peopel who don't obey the rules of the aisle with their carts. Don't people know, that you should go down the grocery store aisles, just like you drive on the road? Stay to the right idiots! What is it with these people who go down the aisles on the wrong side, causing havoc and chaos with their reckless and sometimes selfish habit of driving their cart on the left side. And what about people who stop to chat, with their carts side by side, completely blocking the aisle and completely obivious to anyone wanting to get through? Where is some common courtesy? And when you finally clear your voice or say, "Pardon me", after you've been standing there for a couple of minutes waiting to get through, they grudgingly move their carts juuuust enough that you can slip through, while giving you the evil eye for interrupting their high level chit chat! Sometimes I wish we had grocery cops.
"Officer, I'd like to report a reckless, insensitive cart driver in aisle 5, by the cake mix!"
