Someone got a hold of one of my credit card numbers and started using it. Luckily, I caught one of the transactions on my bill and one of the companies that had an online order from the creep using my number, thought the order was a little hinky and tracked me down and gave me a call to confirm if I was actually the one ordering the stuff. He/she had ordered over $400 worth of stuff online......I think the "bill to" and "ship to" addresses being so different is what tipped off the company, that this might be an identity theft order. Actually, I recieved the call from Walgreen's corporate headquarters....they were great to track me down, find my phone number and call me to me know that someone unauthorized was using my number. I won't be billed and the pharmacueticals that were ordered won't be shipped of course. The card has now been cancelled and no more identity theft fraud. There is nothing I hate more than a thief....well, that's not exactly true....but it's pretty high up on my list of things I hate! Not sure how someone got access to my number....had to be off of a website. I have 3 different cards and it was the one I don't use very often, so it was easy to spot the fraudulent charges when my bill came. I must say that the credit card company was very good and very helpful to me.....they handled things efficiently and cordially. I guess they go through this numerous times every day. So, I was a little pissed off yesterday with the whole scenario..........good thing this thief is out of state and far away from me, where I can't get a hand on him/her.
It's been a very nice and comfortable week so far, though the temps will climb a little again today. I have a few errands to run this afternoon, so I'm going to be 2 wheelin' it. The bike has been running great lately....not that it ever didn't run great......I think the nice weather just makes the whole ride seem better somehow. I got most of the yard mowed last night....I still have about 2 hours to mow tonight to finish it. The grass has finally slowed down growing a bit. I took a peek at my raspberries last night as I mowed around them.....just about another week and they will be ready to start picking! Ice cream and raspberries!

My dad recently had his credit card number stolen, wasn't too happy about it but everything turned out alright in the end. There sure seems to be quite a bit of identity theft going around lately.
