I love the little birdies, but HOLY COW these guys are eating me out of house and home!
Well, not really....but pretty close....
Gold finch. Bright yellow and black, these are wonderful little birds that flit and flutter around like sleek little jet aircraft. I have 3 finch feeders just off the front porch. I can't seem to keep them full. Each feeder has 6 perches...a total of 18....and they are always full, with fighting going on to see who gets to perch. These little guys will empty the feeders every 2 days. A 20lb. bag of thistle seed doesn't last long around here!
They are beautiful and wonderful to watch though.....so I really don't mind the constant feeder filling. When the trees get leafed out, I'm going to set up my tripod and try to get some photos of them at the feeders, like I did a couple of years ago.
I'm going to ride my bike to Omaha this weekend, to do some riding with a friend. I'll probably leave sometime tomorrow afternoon. It's supposed to be in the mid to hi 70's and sunshine both days.....perfect for riding!

Brunch in genrl is my fav meal,
it has the best of both worlds, Sweet and savory, then i wanna take a nap and guess what when i awake the day is still young.. thats what i love about brunch.
