Guess what I'm making for dinner today....for the first time ever?

Lasagne!

Yep....I love the stuff, but have never made it myself before....before today that is! So, what took me so long? I don't have a good answer......procrastination I guess. But, it's in the oven now....just bubbling away....I can't wait to give it a try and see how it turned out.


Rainy here today....not cold....mid 30's....but rainy. It took most of the last of the snow away, in the night last night. I think it'll be a damp Christmas. Everything is in perfect order for tomorrow.....I can taste that prime rib roast in my mouth already!

Since everything is done, ready and waiting, I think a long nap this afternoon is in perfect order. Might even get a fire going in the fireplace. A warm fire, a glass of bourbon and a good movie is on tap for tonight I think. Damn! I just remembered that I forgot to buy the Fig Newtons yesterday, to go with my bourbon.....nothing goes better with bourbon than Fig Newtons.....darn tootin'! They are perfect for dunkin'! Well, unless it's a great cigar....they go pretty damn good with bourbon too.
