Well....the weekend was just that....the weekend. Nothing flashy or fancy, just the end of one week and the beginning of another. You'd think that there might be some kind of fanfare, come Saturday night, as the week changes. It only happens 52 times a year...you'd think there would be a bell or a gong or something to mark the end of the old and the beginning of the new....but no....one just quietly rolls into the other. I guess we leave all that for the new year, which of course marks the passing of the previous 52 and celebrates the 52 to come. Somehow, I think we all need more revelry in our lives.....so we don't waste it or take it for granted.
I did get to do some singing yesterday. My brother's band was practicing and they like to have me come and sing with them and also give a listen and do critiques. It is coming along nicely, for them to be getting back together again, 38 years after their record came out. Some of their youthful magic is still there....it's just been dormant for a lot of years and they have to help bring it back out a little.
Today is laundry and I've just made the drop biscuits for the stuffing on Thanksgiving. I think the house will be pretty full that day. I'm not sure how it's going to go, since I'm still low on water. I've been very careful and using water very sparingly the last 3 weeks. So far, so good, but a house full of people is likely to tax the small supply I have left. I guess I'll have to make an announcement Thanksgiving day.
My mind is a jumble this morning for some reason....lots of stuff going on and running around up there. I need have another cup of coffee and see if it will all settle down and form a coherent line....I don't dod well with jumbles.
