So update on Mom....she's doing good...healing, and everything's fine 
Thanks everybody for the good luck wishes for us. My sister took over mom duty to give me a break. Rare for her to be so nice, so I took advantage and fled town....
So the little guy and I got to take a 4 hour car trip (both ways) this past weekend up by Lake Shasta to visit Gavin's other grandparents. That was interesting. That long in the car with my ex, even though we're friends now, was bound to end up with at least one fight
(it was on the way home at least...).
Back home now and everything is back to the normal, boring routine.
