i was thinking my set might go up on easter b/c of the bright colors.
the next one should be much better. it sounds really fun at least. another side of me.
i wanted to right something meaningful but sleepiness is overtaking me so i will find a poem to share (since i've been so shabby and not posted a single one in the poetry group) hmm..ill chose this one tonight b/c it helps me remember a time when i felt this way and everything was full of possibility

Fundamentals

Each moment compared to eternity
Can become something so specific, scientific,
Like atomic particles floating in so much empty space.

The reaction takes place
When we collide
In an alternate universe
Weve seen the brochures for,
Browsed through in moments of enlightened clarity.
Thought It looks like a lovely place to visit
But dismissed it
Believing that within the confines of this life
Wed never make it there. We were right.
Somehow without grasping the secret
Weve caused a change.
Weve transcended the laws of boundaries.

And when your empty space meets mine
All the denotations weve held onto
Mingle together like the elements in air.
Dispersed like this, it doesnt feel like emptiness.
It has the quality of a pure morning.
It doesnt silently slip into our lungs. It seizes us.
Suddenly leaving no choice but to believe
Everything will be all right.

The reaction takes place.
The particles have not been changed, only rearranged
But in this new configuration,
The pieces fit. My view is clear.
It occurs to me
That to live is to dream
When I always thought it was the other way,
When I always thought that freedom
Could only be fleeting,
Could only be found in intangible, unconscious states.
But this,
This is life, and if not, something more.

I open myself. I am cleansed.
I breathe with violet intensity.
