what a lazy ass i am today. i just got out of bed...and it's 1:30. skull

the playback has a show in saginaw tonight. so that's where i'm going. i've been planning what to do on my birthday, but it seems they booked a show then too. lame! i was excited about it since it's on a saturday this time. i guess i can just have festivities on friday, but we'll see...i can be persuasive. i was thinking about getting a big group to go to deja vu in lansing. if i decide on that i'll make it an event so anyone around here can join me. smile

i hope tonight doesn't suck. we have to stay for all the other bands...and there are lots. and the thing is, it seems i never enjoy the other bands they have to play with. whatever

I saw a BRILLIANT band in NYC called Kevin Cahoon and the Ghetto Cowboy. EVERY other band SUCKED! It was a theme night at CBGB, "Homocorps". So it was all bands with gay lead singers. However, not all gays sound alike, you see. I came for some ass-kicking glam-rock, and had to sit through 3 other crap genres. The worst was the Shrieking Lesbians. (Not their actual name) They all wore gimp masks, but since they were sweating profusely, it all came out their nose holes, giving them the appearance of a rally bad cold. The distortion was turned way the hell up on their guitars, and they screamed every lyric at an unintelligible volume.

Cahoon was unbelievably good, though.
