I'm learning "America" by Ginsberg for open mic at the lesbian bar. I've never read poetry to more than one person...scary stuff. skull

My goodness. That is one of my favorite poems! There are some audio samples of him reading it on Youtube if you haven't already checked.

I'm not writing anything particularly tangible right now. Just my own human experiences. Biographical form, with feeling. I will accept that friend request now. =]

Ginsberg's Howl is my favourite but reading it out loud to a crowd is a bit hoaky.

America is a much better "live" poem.
