whenever i'm trying to sleep with a migraine, i always have dreams involving guns. what i think is happening is that the pain pulsating in my ear gets translated as gunshots to my sleeping brain. however it works, it's wholly unpleasant. today is much nicer. the sun is out and insects appear to be mating outside my window.

Maybe the guns in your dreams are related to Olivia getting shot in her dream. Eek! The last time I had a really bad hangover I dreamed that a very large man was standing next to me pounding sheet metal into shape, so your theory makes a lot of sense. The brain is a strange and wonderful place...or sometimes not so wonderful I guess. I had a friend once who saw green flashes before a migraine would hit her, and if she took excedrine migraine right then, before she actually felt any pain, they wouldn't last as long or be as severe.
