today it became clear that the billboards are really going to happen. as we were weighing the merits of styrene vs. vinyl vs. canvas, i thought oh god, this is really happening isn't it - we're really going to build giant velcro billboards. it's one of those things that, when repeated inside your own head, sounds more and more absurd until the very notion of it loses all meaning.

tap plastics is a heavenly place. it's a magical fairy playland of possibility. sheets of plastic and colorful tubes and tiny boxes and sticky vinyl letters. it's all very overwhelming.
