I got a car yesterday. It's a 99 Ford Escort station wagon and it's a piece of shit. I got it from my Aunt, who used to use it on her rural mail route. The whole inside is covered in red dirt and their are rubberbands and loose change everywhere. Normally, all that change would be a bonus but it is all gunky and nasty. My Aunt and Uncle do not take care of cars very well at all. Each tire is missing a lugnut and one of them only has two. The back windows don't roll down. The rear hatch doesn't stay open without being propped up. It's just one big huge mess. I did get it for a good price though...free. Hopefully it will last me until I can get enough money saved up to replace the engine in my nice clean eclipse. They gave me a mountain bike, too. I think that may be safer to ride and will probably last me longer. Thank goodness I live only two blocks away from campus.

Hey, so how are those wheels treating you? hope that thing holds together until you're able to get yours back in running shape.with the price of gas being what it is I think the bike would be best for any short distance travels you might make. think you'll still be making it to soonercon?
