This evening I went to have a look at the space this show is going to be in (just over a week to go....). I'd planned on doing a drawing quite high up on the wall of a balcony (it's in an old fucked up church hall) without actually realising a) how high up this would be and b) how bad my vertigo is getting.
but it's a great space, and it has to be done. Just don't ask me how I'm getting up that ladder, or how I'm planning on getting down.
My mini-crush ended at about 1.45pm today. the point at which, for no real reason, I stopped and realised that it was craziness from the outset and just wouldn't work or happen like I wanted it to. Just the way it is sometimes, I guess. "le sigh..."
Something that old bugger Beckett wrote (that I can't quite remember) about living and making mistakes, and then living some more to make better mistakes.

they are great. they can sound very arch on the first listening, but there's often a really heartbreaking sincerity or tenderness there too.
aye, my freezer's full of random culinary oddities as well. i found a couple of ostrich burgers in there at the weekend
