Jack is my favorite author. And Dharma Bums is his best work in my opinion. I work for the railroad on freight trains cause of the man. If you ever get a chance see if you can find 'September in the Railroad Earth' by him. Great work.

I will certainly hunt down those tracks. MBV is fantasic as well.

I think I'm going to write this and come back in about an hour, write something else. Things I need to say but not sure if I really turn this into a regular emo-sissyboy whining about his ex girlfriend. It does get tiresome to read, I know that.
But you see, its like this.
She emailed me a bunch of photos a few days ago,...

It's going to get better, the time and the distance will make it so. Wow, it feels like you are writing everything that was in my head from about Nov-Feb. There's a reason why you're not supposed to be together, and sometimes that reason doesn't manifest itself for a very long time, in some cases, if ever. Painful reality checks give way for extra intense development of your heart, mind, and soul. I'm going check up on you often, if that's ok smile

she phoned this morning.
I wasn't expecting it, and it was good to speak to her (really good) but it still managed to scare me a little. All the things running through my head that I wanted to ask her but that I knew I couldn't if there was any chance of being her friend somewhere at the end of this all.
I wanted to...

nothing much to say today (too much thinking in ever-decreasing circles) so a couple of random quotes to suit the weather; raining in that strange melancholy east coast way that I love.

"some mysterious combination of failing light, and the smell of an unrecognized plant bring back to some men the sense of childhood, and of future hope: and to others the sense of something...

right now I'm wondering how it is that some things become parts of our lives without us realising it. Music especially, because I'm getting through a lot of it right now...
I mean that there are some songs, some records which are fixed in a particular time and place and nothing ever changes that. The Dismemberment Plan "Change" is always going to be fixed in...

oh dear
bit of a disasterous day, but fun too...
spent way too much money on records, and now I've had too much beer and too much chocolate. I'm going to feel guilty as hell tomorrow morning, but right now I'm trying to tell myself there's no such thing as too much chocolate/ beer/ too many records.
Could you tell that to my bank manager...

God I don't know why I'm doing this.
Because somebody suggested it.

I stopped keeping a journal when I was about 16, because I couldn't stand reading it and seeing the person I was yesterday, last month, last year. So what I'm doing posting this out there in the world for anyone to read I don't know. Maybe because I know that the chances are...
